Implant-Retained Bridges and Dentures

Where all the upper or lower teeth are missing, there are simple ways of replacing all the teeth without having to replace each one individually

Implant-retained Bridges

If all the teeth are missing in the top or bottom jaw (or both), the ideal way to replace them is with a an implant-retained bridge.

This means that, rather than having to replace every individual tooth with a separate implant, we place typically six implants per jaw, and then we construct an incredibly strong prosthesis, which contains all the missing teeth supported by a metal structure (not visible), which is attached to the implants.

The resulting teeth will look beautiful smiling, laughing and talking, but will be strong enough to withstand the pressures of eating on a full set of teeth.

Implant-supported Dentures

Implant-supported dentures work similarly to implant-supported bridges but the prosthesis is removable and is taken out for cleaning.

This is a lower cost option, due to the prosthesis being a much less complex structure.
